1.
A handsome beast behind the shed Svelte and trim, a coat of red It’s plain to see, this place belongs to him (and her, and them) Some will say there’s reason to fear When the Urban Fox is near Don’t turn your back; you’ll find one on your bed (or is it in your head?) Trash cans down, a vixen’s scream Infiltrates what was a pleasant dream Clear blue sky melts into molten red Many think they’re misunderstood Another beast, another name Another trap to catch the game She took the bait, and left behind a gift (it was a pile of shit) Perched atop the picket fence Doing his due diligence Parked outside the back porch door With his head cocked as if to implore Mesmerized can’t look away He wanted to come in from the rain Vulpine goddess Soon to spot us Waiting by the window again
2.
Scratching and clawing Gripping failing and falling Can barely hear the dull throbbing  Over the echoes of sobbing  Stalling and fighting Feeling the noose slowly tightening The end keeps inviting me to come See what the night brings Man down on a ridgeline Knife's edge exposed to morning sunlight Feeling fate fall from space To the depths of the ocean Options waxing and waning  Life is quickly draining Outside pressures crushing Tearing labored structures down Beating heart through broken bones Elusive truth it's always known  This mortal form will fight Still the ghost within will take flight I’m not dead yet Can’t tell if I’m soaked In piss, blood, or sweat I’m not dead yet Can’t tell if I’m soaked In piss, blood, or sweat All these things in my head How can I forget? Can’t tell if I’m soaked In piss, blood, or sweat Can’t tell where I am These toothless gears Worn down by rough roads I have run 24 to live Look up I'm left with one Man down on a ridgeline Knife's edge exposed to moonlit sky Feeling fate fall from space To the depths of the ocean

about

This split was the brainchild of Smokestack Lightning's Raf Soto, to whom we are grateful for including us. Check out their half here:

As for our part, these two songs had been staples of our live shows. "The Urban Fox" was the first song we ever played in public, at The Gloom Garden (RIP) on Nov 11, 2018.
Though the band has not all been in the same room for 9 months, we managed to pull together these recordings; ones we are the proudest of to date.
